Congratulations, Steven, on finishing high school with such flair. And thanks to all our family who came to help us celebrate, and to sweet friend Kirsten who helped with the children all evening. It was a very happy time. Steven looked dashing in his cap and gown, decorated with his National Honor Society cord, his Summa Cum Laude ribbon, and his 4.0 Honor Graduate medallion. He also sang two musical numbers at the ceremony with his choir, the Chamber Singers. Way to go, Steven.
On a related note, Steven finally (today) found out his AP scores for the year:
AP Physics: 5
AP Calculus: 5
AP English Literature: 4
added to last year's--
AP Music Theory: 5
AP English Language: 5
AP Spanish Language: 4
This qualifies him for what is known as an "AP Scholar with Distinction" as well as receiving a Governor's Certificate of Recognition. Steven also graduated from the four-year Seminary program, no small feat. We are so grateful for all his dedication, and his pattern of excellence in everything he does.
Also, special congratulations to Joey, who is home for the summer. After serving his mission, he returned to BYU in January and ROCKED all his classes. Yeah, Joey! We're so happy to have you home.
We were thrilled to have our family come visit us during these past few weeks. (Mike, we missed you, and love you.) Here are just a few pictures of happy times. The first few are of our two youngest babies, Bree and Colton. You'll have to figure out which is which (hint: pink or blue):
trips to Manassas Battlefield, and to the Air & Space Museum,
and trips to "Build-A-Bear" at the mall!
Even better, there were trips to Amissville.
I know that Thanksgiving happens in November, but it sure seems like we've got a lot to be thankful for RIGHT NOW. Happy Summer, everyone!
