As you may or may not know, Jack has some time off work he needs to use before the year is up, as well as some international miles to log. (Good part of being a flight dispatcher, I guess!) He left last night for Hong Kong, where he plans to stay this week. He took a nonstop (12 1/2 hour) flight to Tokyo, where changed planes for the 4 1/2 hour flight to Hong Kong.
He sent me a quick email which he asked me to pass along. Exciting!

Arrived in Hong Kong 15 mins early
weather is hot -- 80 degrees F
marvelous experience, saw the lights of Taipei Taiwan
as we flew towards HKG
checking into airport hotel --
will go into city tomorrow.
